Hammer Properties owner Mike Hays also told The Bellingham Herald he'll evict tenants who planned the block party. And, he'll tack on a $500 fine for violating the lease at the Jersey Street apartments.
Hays said many residents are students at Western Washington University and their parents are co-signers. If evicted, they'll have to keep paying rent until a new tenant moves in.
Officers broke up a Saturday night party in the courtyard of the apartments. But many partiers moved to a nearby park where the crowd grew and clashed with police.
