Officer, K-9 partner injured in Puyallup crash

PUYALLUP -- A police officer and his K-9 partner are recovering from an accident involving an impaired driver.
The Puyallup Police Department said an intoxicated driver went through a stop sign and struck a patrol car on the side early Saturday morning. Both the officer and his K-9 partner were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Puyallup Police Capt. Scott Engle says both the officer and the yellow lab named Timber had minor injuries and will recover.
The driver has been arrested and charged.
