Names included in Judie Tillotson's "Live Y'er" column included Jackie Berube, Cindy Rossert, Jackie Hughes, Betsy Balson, Anita Herris, Kathy Looysen, Darlene Pederson, Marcie Kuchera, Sandy Bumhagen, Shela Luby, Gail Gavin and Linda Olsen.

The Rev. Joseph H. Doogan had announced plans for the construction of complete facilities for the recently formed St. Thomas More Catholic Parish at 6509 176th St. SW. Cost of the new church, school and convent was estimated at $500,000. The single story buildings would be constructed of masonry and wood.

Judy McVay, co-president of Beverly Elementary School's PTA, pleaded with the Snohomish County Council saying that the intersection of 168th Street SW and 52nd Avenue W. was in need of a stop light. She said she didn't know why a child hadn't been hit yet.
