Sgt. Cindi West said he died Sunday at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. She said two other teens in his car were treated at a hospital and released. The deputy suffered a sprained wrist.
The cars collided at an intersection and the crash remains under investigation. West said the deputy had a green light. One of the surviving passengers in the other car said they had been racing.
