SNOHOMISH — Paige Johnson scored the only goal of the second half to break a 2-2 tie and Mountlake Terrace emerged from the fog with a win and a Wesco 3A North district berth.
Visibility was so bad that the Hawks had to put on bright orange practice jerseys just to been seen through the fog and reliable accounting of assists couldn’t be kept.
Lily Hart scored the first and last goals of the first half for Mountlake Terrace, breaking the ice in the 10th minute and putting in the equalizer just before halftime. Freshman midfielder Jenna McLean scored both goals for Glacier Peak within five minutes of each other to put the Grizzlies up 2-1 early.
