Prep boys tennis: Wesco 3A South Tournament

SNOHOMISH -- Shorecrest's Nishant Limaye defeated Meadowdale's Nick Ekern 6-2, 6-2 in the singles championship match to take the singles title at the Wesco 3A South Tournament Wednesday afternoon.
Patrick Luangrath, from host Glacier Peak, defeated Shorewood's Logan Keebler 6-2, 6-3 in the third/fourth match.
In the doubles championship, Stuart Schachle and Cameron McDowell of Shorewood took the title, defeating Shorecrest's Andrew Copsey and Chris Sato 6-1, 6-1. Ethan Jones and Tucker Davis (Glacier Peak) took third because of a previous result against Shorecrest's Nick North and Emahd Khan. The same process was used in the fifth/sixth-place match, where Mark Steinke and Quint Turner of Meadowdale were given the alternate spot.

Singles--Championship: Nishant Limaye (Shorecrest) def. Nick Ekern (Meadowdale), 6-2, 6-2. Third/fourth: Patrick Luangrath (Glacier Peak) def. Logan Keebler (Shorewood), 6-2, 6-3. Fifth/sixth (alternate): Jamie Wright (Shorewood) def. Bret Matysik (Meadowdale), 6-2, 6-1. Doubles--Championship: Stuart Schachle-Cameron McDowell (Shorewood) def. Andrew Copsey-Chris Sato (Shorecrest), 6-1, 6-1. Third/fourth: Ethan Jones-Tucker Davis (Glacier Peak) def. Nick North-Emahd Khan (Shorecrest), determined by earlier result. Fifth/sixth (alternate): Mark Steinke-Quint Turner (Meadowdale) def. Scott Park-Alejandro Uvence (Shorewood), determined by earlier result.
