SNOHOMISH — Shorecrest’s Nishant Limaye defeated Meadowdale’s Nick Ekern 6-2, 6-2 in the singles championship match to take the singles title at the Wesco 3A South Tournament Wednesday afternoon.
Patrick Luangrath, from host Glacier Peak, defeated Shorewood’s Logan Keebler 6-2, 6-3 in the third/fourth match.
In the doubles championship, Stuart Schachle and Cameron McDowell of Shorewood took the title, defeating Shorecrest’s Andrew Copsey and Chris Sato 6-1, 6-1. Ethan Jones and Tucker Davis (Glacier Peak) took third because of a previous result against Shorecrest’s Nick North and Emahd Khan. The same process was used in the fifth/sixth-place match, where Mark Steinke and Quint Turner of Meadowdale were given the alternate spot.
