EVERETT -- Charity workers can attend a symposium about state registration and reporting requirements to set up their organization or to improve it.
The symposium is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Nov. 8 at the Comcast Arena's Edward D. Hansen Conference Center, 2000 Hewitt Ave.
It is sponsored by the Secretary of State's Corporation and Charities Division, to provide knowledge about the legal obligations and fiduciary duties of a nonprofit board.
"This symposium will be a great way for people to learn and understand how to start and operate a nonprofit or charity," said Teresa Glidden charity and non profit education coordinator for the Corporation and Charities Division, through a statement.
It costs $10 per person, lunch is provided. You can register online on http://1.usa.gov/16c8Iw5.
