Local artist and naturalist Tony Angell gives a presentation on his book, “Puget Sound Through an Artist’s Eye,” at 7 p.m. Friday at the NW Stream Center.
Angell will show illustrations from the book and talk about his lifelong observations and encounters with the wildlife that occupy our waters.
Angell, a sculptor, illiustrator and author, has won numerous awards for his work. In 2002, he retired after 30 years as Washington State Director of Environmental Education.
He has received the Oak Leaf Award, the highest recognition given by the national office of The Nature Conservancy.
Angell will sign copies of his book, which will be for sale, after the show. “Puget Sound Through an Artist’s Eye” lists at $35 and Adopt A Stream Foundation members will get a 10 percent discount.
