In the upcoming election, two well-qualified opponents are running for Snohomish County Council District 1. While Ken Klein has served with the Arlington City Council and is VP of the Snohomish County Planning Commission, Bill Blake is also highly qualified with his experience in Arlington Land Use &Permitting Division and now as stormwater supervisor.
He also has an advantage over Ken with his many hours of volunteer work alongside a variety of different groups and people, attending a large number of public meetings advocating for the preservation of sustainable AG land, promotion of sustainable forest industry jobs and restoring the health of our waterways. He has walked the land with landowners and stakeholders over many years and knows how nature and development can be blended without sacrificing our rural character. Bill knows the land, he knows the political system, and he has a great ability to work with people on all sides of an issue.
Whether you are Democrat, Republican or Independent, please consider Bill Blake for Snohomish County Council District 1. Check out his website at www.voteforbillblake.com. While Ken Klein could make a great choice in future years, I feel Bill Blake can better shape the future of Snohomish County at this time.
