Published:
EVERETT -- Tuesday's sentencing for an Everett woman who damaged the Highway 529 bridge last year was rescheduled for early next month.
Tory Long, 39, requested more time to explore whether she is eligible for work release. She faces up to a year in jail for a booze-fueled crash that closed down the bridge and gummed the evening commute for thousands of drivers. Long is expected to be ordered to pay about $111,000 for the costs to repair the 86-year-old bridge.
She led police on a 2.6 mile chase in north Everett before crashing. She was not seriously hurt.
