Prep girls soccer: Snohomish 2, Mount Vernon 0

MOUNT VERNON -- Snohomish's Brooke Pingrey scored in the 26th minute and assisted on Ellie Otteson's goal 13 minutes later and the Panthers kept Mount Vernon off the scoreboard in the Wesco 4A North match. Despite the loss, the Bulldogs clinched the third and final North berth to the 4A district tournament.

Goals--Brooke Pingrey (S), Ellie Otteson (S). Assists--Hannah Nicholson (S), Pingrey. Goalkeepers--Snohomish: Taylor Knapinski. Mount Vernon: Leigh Lamay. Records--Snohomish 11-2-1 league, 13-2-1 overall. Mount Vernon 6-8-0, 6-8-2.
