I’m writing to urge people to vote for a new face on the Everett City Council: Jackie Minchew. Mr. Minchew is a veteran teacher in the Everett School district; you may have seen him riding his bicycle to work at Lowell Elementary. He is also a leader in the Transition Movement, working for a future that will give everyone a chance to prosper. Because Jackie cares about the people, the environment, and the future of Everett, he will look for solutions that promote environmentally sustainable, living wage jobs and people-friendly business opportunities for Everett’s diverse residents. He will pursue options that will empower Everett to be a leader in a rapidly changing world.
Minchew thinks outside the box and is willing to listen to diverse viewpoints and to create a more open and transparent City Council, responsive to the needs of all of Everett’s residents, not just a select few. It’s time to elect someone who cares about all of Everett: people, jobs, public spaces, schools, and a sustainable future in the 21st century. Vote for Jackie Minchew for Everett City Council!
