Boeing has troubles with its 787. Airbus had delays with its A380. Toyota, Honda, GM, Ford and Chrysler have all had to recall faulty vehicles. JP Morgan Chase lost billions due to poor, even fraudulent investment decisions. Bad things happen. I don't hear people clamoring for the demise of these corporations or their products. Why then insist on repealing a reform to our health care system that is long overdue simply because websites crash? They can be fixed in plenty of time for deadlines to be met. I believe that to improve the health of citizens and thus reduce health care costs, this country needs more people to have health insurance. Will Obamacare succeed at lowering heath care costs? Experts disagree and I am no expert. However, I do know that our system before Obamacare needed improvement in a big way. If something doesn't work, then why not try to fix it rather than scuttle it? That is what Boeing is trying to do and what Airbus accomplished. That is what Obamacare is attempting to do.
I wish Sen. Murray all the luck she will definitely need in the coming weeks to find a compromise with Rep. Ryan over balancing the budget and beginning to eliminate government debt. Like Washington's Sen. Jackson and Rep. Foley, Sen. Murray can show the country that Washington produces people who can move the country forward. I believe Sen. Murray knows that accomplishing these two objectives does not depend on the repeal of Obamacare, rather its success with enhance the country's chances for a balanced budget and reduced debt.
