It's chilly, isn't it? Wouldn't a little bunny or guinea pig to cuddle be just the thing?

The Everett Animal Shelter is overload with rabbits, guinea pigs and other small critters and has had to temporarily suspend accepting those animals.

As of Thursday, the shelter had 13 rabbits, three guinea pigs, two rats and two mice.

The shelter hopes people will consider adding a small furry friend to their family. As an added incentive, adoptive families will receive a discount for spaying or neutering their new pet at the Kamaka Exotic Animal Veterinary Services in Mountlake Terrace. It costs $15 to adopt a rabbit or guinea pig. Rats and mice are $3. You'll need to supply your own, non-cardboard carrying cage.

You can see some of the available bunnies and guinea pigs here. You can also see other animals looking for homes in our gallery here.
