The patrol said the trooper was investigating a crash at the interchange with I-90 Sunday evening when the patrol car was hit by another car. The patrol car was on the shoulder with lights activated.
The trooper was sent home to recover. The other driver and a passenger were not injured. Possible charges are pending.
