Ted Wenta and incumbent Carol Andrews look to be the winners in races for two seats on the Everett school board.
Andrews, 57, has served on the school board for six years. Her opponent, Kim Guymon, 47, helped launch the grassroots Everett School Board Project before deciding to challenge Andrews.
Wenta, 50, is vice president of operations for the YMCA of Snohomish County.
Wenta was challenged by Rodman Reynolds, who is a school board watchdog and critic. He attempted to launch a recall campaign earlier this year against all five school board members for failing to have an audit committee as required by law.
Wenta and Reynolds were competing to replace long-time school board member Ed Petersen, who first joined the school board in 2006. Petersen announced in May that he would not seek re-election.
