SNOHOMISH — A police pursuit and brief manhunt near Snohomish on Tuesday afternoon ended in the arrest of a suspected burglar from Seattle.
The pursuit started about 3:45 p.m. on southbound Highway 9, said Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Shari Ireton.
The Snohomish County Violent Offender Task Force had been searching for the man and spotted him driving a stolen car, she said. He had several felony warrants for his arrest, including burglary cases.
While fleeing from police the man crashed the car near the highway’s intersection with Lowell-Larimer Road. He ran from the scene. He went into a nearby house. Police got the people out of the house safely, Ireton said.
The man was arrested about 4:30 p.m. No injuries were reported
