Police just before 8 p.m. Sunday were called to the Driftwood Hotel to provide help in removing five intoxicated people from a room.
Police arrested Russell Bond, 49, when officers learned he was wanted on a warrant from Bellingham.
He remained in custody Tuesday.
The Juneau Empire reported that Bond was convicted of assault with a deadly weapon in a 2009 case. Whatcom County deputy prosecutor Dona Bracke said Bond was convicted of cutting a person on the neck in a fistfight that escalated into a knife fight. The other person required 70 sutures to close the wound.
Bond served a six-month jail sentence and was required to report to Department of Corrections offices for a year of monitoring.
