Prep girls soccer: Edmonds-Woodway 3, Kamiak 1

EDMONDS -- Edmonds-Woodway's Rylee Peterson scored two goals, with the first coming just 15 seconds after kickoff, and the Warriors wrapped up a 4A state berth with a win over Kamiak. Emele Chaddock had the lone Knights' goal. The Warriors will play Jackson for the district championship on Thursday night, while Kamiak faces Snohomish in a loser-out match. Both games will be played at Goddard Stadium.
At Edmonds Stadium
Goals--Rylee Peterson (EW) 2, Hannah Thuesen (EW), Emele Chaddock (K). Assists--Cassie Richins (EW), Brelyn Kussman (K). Goalkeepers--Kamiak: Shannon Peth. Edmonds-Woodway: Kiera Towell. Records--Kamiak 12-5-1 overall. Edmonds-Woodway 13-2-2.
