We (to a certain point) agree with the Oct. 29 letter "We should all seek tea party ideals". Yes, our government spends too much, and we need to find a way to curtail the waste. However, changing government policy should never be done with an ax and a prayer. Changing government policy should be done with precision instruments such as bi-partisan, goal-oriented negotiations. The tea party does not possess such precision capability. Out with the tea party!
