BATTLE GROUND -- A Clark County sheriff's spokesman says a U.S. deputy marshal fired his weapon Thursday as officers from the Marshals Service tried to arrest a wanted felon near Battle Ground, Wash. No one was hit.
Sheriff's Sgt. Fred Neiman said the wanted man tried to flee in a vehicle toward a deputy marshal and the deputy fired. Neiman said the wanted man's vehicle crashed into a tree and he was arrested.
The spokesman said neither the arrested man nor any law enforcement officers were injured. The Clark County Regional Major Crimes Team is investigating the incident.
Neiman said additional details were not immediately available.
