Prep boys soccer: Grace Academy 1, Bear Creek 0 (SO)

BELLEVUE -- Grace Academy's Austin Likes made the fifth penalty kick attempt and Bear Creek missed its ensuing try as the Falcons beat Bear Creek 5-4 in a shootout after a scoreless regulation and overtime. The win advances Grace Academy to the 2B Bi-District championship game against Mount Vernon Christian on Saturday at Everett Memorial Stadium. The game was nearly identical to the game between the two teams on Sept. 13. In that game Grace Academy topped Bear Creek 5-3 in a shootout after a scoreless draw in regulation and overtime. Isaiah VanDam made a number of big saves for Grace Academy in preserving the shutout.
At Interlake H.S.
Goals--None. Assists--None. Goalkeepers--Grace Academy: Isaiah VanDam. Bear Creek: Blake Denniston. Records--Grace Academy 16-2 overall. Bear Creek 17-2.
This game was almost identical to our game against Bear Creek back on September 13th where we beat them in a shootout 5-3 after a 0-0 draw in regulation and overtime. Bear Creek only has 2 losses on the year and both were to us in shootouts!
