Meadowdale volleyball beats Stanwood for final state berth

SNOHOMISH — Kaylan Cummins had 12 kills and eight digs and Sloane Morrison had 11 kills and 19 digs to lead Meadowdale past Stanwood 3-0 and earn the final berth to the 3A state tournament. Fourth-seeded Ferndale beat Oak Harbor 3-1 to win the district championship.

In the loser-out, consolation semifinals, Stanwood defeated Everett in five sets behind Kitt Campbell’s 52 assists and Meadowdale defeated Mountlake Terrace in four sets behind Sloane Morrison’s 22 kills and 13 digs.
