Ragsdale sets school record for rushing yards in a season

VANCOUVER -- Every time Mountlake Terrace clawed its way back into Saturday's quad-district game against Mountain View, the Thunder seemed to have an answer.
The last answer was a clock-draining drive 16-play drive that ended in a field goal and all but sealed a 31-21 victory at McKenzie Stadium that helps the Greater St. Helens League team advance to state.
In the first half, Mountain View answered Chance Ragsdale's 1-yard, score-tying touchdown run with a 91-yard kickoff return. Midway through the third quarter, Mountain View's Austin Mace broke off a 59-yard touchdown run after Ragsdale's 7-yard touchdown run got the Hawks to within a touchdown.
Justin Hopkins would answer with a 17-yard touchdown run of his own, but the Thunder's ensuing drive took more than seven minutes and killed the Hawks' momentum.
Ragsdale finished with 25 carries for 148 yards and his season total of 1,574 is broke a school record.
