SEATTLE — Two people were hurt Tuesday morning when a Community Transit commuter bus headed from Lake Stevens to Seattle was involved in a collision.
It happened just before 6:30 a.m. on southbound I-5 in the express lanes near Stewart Street in Seattle, said trooper Chris Webb with the Washington State Patrol.
A white sport utility vehicle made an unsafe lane change into the carpool lane and was struck by the bus, Webb said. Two passengers on the bus were injured and taken to the hospital. More details on their condition weren’t immediately available.
The double-tall bus had 75 passengers on board at the time, according to Community Transit. A third vehicle also was involved in the crash and fled the scene, Webb said.
