Big rogue Dawg

Off the reservation: Bill Clinton says President Barack Obama should find a way to let everyone keep their current health insurance if they want to, even if it means changing the law (Page A8).

Obama's chief spokesman says the president has told his team to investigate all options, which presumably include dispatching Clinton to the American diplomatic mission in Kyrgyzstan for the next six months or so.

Don't know much about history: On this day in 1789, Benjamin Franklin wrote that nothing in life is certain except death and taxes (Today in History, Page A2).

One hundred twenty-four years later, cryogenic researchers and the Tea Party are hard at work trying to prove Franklin wrong.

Throw the book at him: Television pitchman Kevin Trudeau was found guilty Tuesday of criminal contempt after prosecutors accused him of lying in infomercials to boost sales of his weight-loss book (Page A9). Trudeau was taken into custody and faces a lengthy prison term.

His defense team noted that the prosecution called only two witnesses in making their case that his weight-loss regimen doesn't work -- and neither of them was New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.
