The robbery occurred around 8 p.m. Nov. 5 at Papa Murphy's, 11014 19th Ave SE.
The man carried a white towel in his right hand and wore a clear plastic glove on his left hand. He asked an employee if she had change for a dollar. The worker waited for him to produce the money but he never did.
Instead, he asked for all the money in the cash register, put his hand in his pocket and pointed what the employee believed was a gun, Everett police officer Aaron Snell said.
The employee backed away and called 911.
The man then grabbed the cash register and pulled it off the counter, Snell said. He threw it to the floor causing the money drawer to open. He grabbed the cash and ran off. He was last seen headed south on 19th Avenue SE towards Silver Lake.
The suspect is described as a slender man with blue eyes and brown hair. He's believed to be between 20 and 30 years old. He's about 5 foot 9. His face appeared sunken and he had brown facial stubble.
He wore a black and gray North Face or Columbia zip-up coat with the hood covering his head.
On Nov. 10, a passerby spotted a burglary at the same restaurant.
Two men were seen breaking the front window and entering the business.
A car drove around the building and picked them up.
"It is not known if the two incidents are related," Snell said.
Anyone with information about either case is asked to call the Everett Police Department tip line at 425-257-8450 or Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound at 800-222-TIPS.
