KOMO-TV reported that the teenager was charged Wednesday in juvenile court with first-degree child rape. Due to his age, he is not being named.
Charging documents say that last Thursday the girl entered a Kent hotel wearing only a shirt and socks. The girl alerted employees that she'd been attacked in the woods behind the hotel.
The girl told police that a boy who she had previously seen with her brother came to her house and told her he had a surprise. He led her to the woods.
Police tracked down the teenager within an hour. When questioned by officers, the teenager reportedly replied that he thought she was older than eight.
