'206' returns with new skits

Stay awake. It's back.
"The 206" returns for a new season on KING-TV after tonight's "Saturday Night Live." That means to see it live, you have to stay up until 1 a.m. Sunday.
The sketch comedy was launched earlier this year by comedians John Keister and father-and-son duo Pat Cashman and Chris Cashman. The show is a reboot of the "Almost Live!" series, which ended a 15-year run in 1999 (but can be seen in reruns at 1:30 a.m.).
Pat Cashman made this promise: "Snohomish County will be more fully lampooned, although last season's 'CSI: Monroe' was a salute.
"Viewers will see more surprise guests: We're working on getting Pope Francis into a bit about Darrington. We are also petitioning Tim Eyman to be on the show. And, we are planning a reality show sketch tentatively entitled 'Survivor: Machias,'" he said.
To be in the audience, go to www.the206online.com or the show's Facebook page www.facebook.com/the206.
