Events at the Everett Public Library’s auditorium are now more accessible for those with hearing impairments.
The library has installed a “hearing loop” that will transmit audio signals directly to cochlear implants and hearing aids equipped with t-coils. The system also transmits to headsets.
The hearing loop system will be in use during library programs.
The system is also available for the public to use on request.
The library was able to install the system in part because of a grant from the Everett Clinic Foundation.
For more information on hearing loops and how they work, go to www.hearingloop.org/. Call the Everett Public Library at 425-257-8000 for questions about the library loop.
