Boeing

Union stood up for their work

To some, the Machinists vote on Nov. 13 was about the future 777X work in the Puget Sound area and nothing else. The "vote" was not about "work" but things that have been earned and as a group, what you have worked for, you do not give back.
The big signing "bonus" was the key. Dazzle the younger employees with big bucks up front for now and 10 years later, some will be no better off that before the give-backs. This is not the end, but a beginning. With a better contract, the new airplane will be built in the Great Northwest, particularly Washington state. Of course, the Boeing Co. will continue to do what is in its best interest, as a "person," not as a world-class corporation utilizing the best workers for Boeing products.
