Seattle Seahawks cornerback Walter Thurmond is facing a four-game suspension for violating the NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse (non-PED), the NFL Network reported Sunday.
Thurmond is appealing the suspension, but he plans to drop that appeal early next week in order to return for a playoff run, according to NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport.
The loss of Thurmond is another blow to the Seahawks’ secondary, which already is without cornerback Brandon Browner, who is out for a minimum of four to six weeks with a groin injury.
