SEATTLE — A Sound Transit spokesman says a male pedestrian was struck Monday evening by a Sound Transit light-rail train.
Geoff Patrick says the northbound train hit the man at Martin Luther King Jr. Way near Holly Street in southeast Seattle at about 5 p.m.
He says the man was conscious and responsive, and was taken to a local hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening. He says officials are investigating what happened.
The Seattle Fire Department tweeted that medics took the man to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle in stable condition after he suffered a facial injury.
