MARYSVILLE -- Detectives are seeking tips as they search for two Marysville brothers, ages 3 and 2, who were taken Sunday by their troubled mother.
The boys' grandmother is their appointed guardian. Her daughter, Tara M. Anderson-Miller, 30, struggles with drugs and has been deemed by the state to be unfit to care for her sons, Marysville police Cmdr. Robb Lamoureux said.
Miller recently was released from the Snohomish County Jail. She had been allowed to stay at her mother's home to visit the children.
She left with the boys early Sunday morning, Lamoureux said. Efforts to find her have so far been unsuccessful.
Malakai A. Miller is 3. Makai S. Miller is 2. Both boys are believed to be wearing gray/blue/yellow jackets.
Tara Miller is white, 5-foot-5, and has brown hair and brown eyes.
State Child Protective Services have determined the boys are endangered and intends to take them into protective custody once located.
Police urged anyone who spots the boys to call 911. Those with other information that may be helpful to police are asked to call detective Craig Bartl at 360-363-8350.
