Top administrator at Forks hospital put on leave

FORKS -- Hospital officials say the top administrator at Forks Community Hospital on the Washington coast has been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation.
Daisy Anderson told the Daily News hospital directors placed Bill McMillan on leave Nov. 21, but she declined to elaborate. Anderson is the chairwoman of the public hospital district's board of directors.
The hospital's chief operating and financial officer, James Chaney, was appointed as acting administrator of the 20-bed facility in Forks, about 55 miles west of Port Angeles.
Forks Community Hospital is the city's single largest employer with 195 employees.
McMillan took over as the hospital's administrator Dec. 3, 2012. He previously was the chief executive officer for the Curry Health District in Gold Beach, Ore.
