So, I get it that James McCusker doesn’t think much of the current Fed monetary policy around quantitative easing. (Friday column, “New Fed chair committed to monetary folly.”) But, if his movie-line conclusion (“I got nowhere else to go.”) is indeed correct, then quantitative easing is not just the right step, it is the only step. I was kind of hoping to read about a thoughtful option, not another bleat from the sideline that raises concerns, but offers no reasonable alternative.
