MALTBY — A Monroe School District student was expelled Monday after reportedly bringing a knife to Hidden River Middle School and making threats to others.
Few details were released Tuesday about the incident in a letter from Principal Linda Boyle. The letter was posted on the school website.
“The knife was shown to others in what students described as a threatening manner during the bus ride to school,” Boyle wrote.
The student was expelled, the knife was confiscated, and police were contacted, Boyle said. No injuries were reported.
The school is in unincorporated Snohomish, in the Maltby area.
