Hard bargains

How high should we jump? The St. Louis Post-Dispatch got its hands on Boeing's request for proposals for a new 777X plant, which shows the company wants very large tax breaks from suitor states, as well as factory buildings and the land they sit on largely paid for by government.

Missouri would go even further. If it gets the 777X, it promises to change its nickname from the Show-Me State to the If It Ain't Boeing We Ain't Going State.

Puck's got his AARP card: The long-running MTV reality series "The Real World" will return for its 29th season Jan. 15. As always, it features a cast of young, attractive and exhibitionistic people sharing a house for a few months.

The new series promises a number of surprise twists; presumably one will be a visit from the Season One stars, who will embarrass the current cast by asking if the hip local cafe offers senior discounts and early-bird specials.

Le Mustang: In unveiling its redesigned 2015 Mustang on Thursday, Ford execs said the car was not retooled to suit European tastes even though it will be sold there for the first time in decades.

Still, The Buzz wishes Ford had snuck espresso-size cup holders into the back seat area, just to be subversive.
