On Monday, KING-TV in Seattle posted a 48-minute conversation between seven very thoughtful Machinists and two reporters, including Glenn Farley, the station’s longtime aviation correspondent. It’s a very good window into the thinking of members of District 751 of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) — why they overwhelmingly voted against Boeing’s contract extension last month, and what they might vote for if something comes of this week’s talks.
We just now got a chance to watch it in full and recommend it to anyone who wonders about the brains behind that vote who assemble the airplanes.
