LYNNWOOD – Police on Thursday night arrested a suspected bank robber after a holdup at U.S. Bank at 19420 Highway 99.
The robbery was reported at 5:10 p.m., Lynnwood police Cmdr. James Nelson said. Several nearby businesses were locked down as police searched the area. They found the suspect’s vehicle ditched nearby.
A witness reported seeing a man believed to be the suspect north of the business complex.
The man, 50, was arrested at about 7:50 p.m. in connection with the robbery, Nelson said. The investigation was ongoing. Officers on Thursday night were applying for a search warrant to look for money or weapons in the man’s car.
