Regarding our baseball deal with the Yanks. (“Mariners, Robinson Cano agree on deal.”)
I’m not a true fan, but I like the game. I think it’s ludicrous to pay a salary like we’ve done for one person. What does Robinson Cano’s 10-year deal that will pay $24 million annually do to ticket prices? Guess $$$$$.
One would think we need help in the pitching area.
We got Morales last year from the Angels and he did a great job for us; did he stick around as a free agent? (No.)
I thought our young guns did a great job. We lost by 1 to 3 runs in I don’t know how many games.
Yes, we had injuries, but every ball club does. These young guys get drafted out of college, live on a bus, play in the minors, and to get called up means the world, they play for the minimum and do a good job. Why not pay them a bit more for incentive.
I feel bad for the new manager; in the end it’s all his fault. Here we go again, rebuild the team.
I hope all goes well for the Mariners.
