Chinese jet faces tough path into Western markets

China airplane producer COMAC could face more difficulty breaking into Western markets with its narrow-body C919 jetliner. The airplane will likely have a harder time getting FAA certification than originally expected, reports Aviation Week.

The plane could eventually compete with Airbus and the Boeing Co. in the heated narrow-body market, and one day in the wide-body market.
