EDMONDS -- A 27-year-old Lynnwood woman was injured Tuesday morning after she reportedly fell asleep at the wheel and crashed her car into a telephone pole in Edmonds.
The accident happened about 6 a.m. along 76th Avenue W. The road was closed from the 20800 block to the 21200 block for some time.
No alcohol or drugs were believed to be involved, said Edmonds police Sgt. Don Anderson.
The woman, who had been driving a 2002 BMW 325, was taken to a local hospital and was expected to survive, according to police.
