Seattle officer pleads guilty to cyberstalking

EVERETT -- A Seattle police officer has pleaded guilty in Everett to a charge of cyberstalking-domestic violence.
KING-TV reported that David Blackmer's lawyer, Ryan Wood, said his client is remorseful.
Blackmer has been on paid leave since this summer. He entered his plea Tuesday in a Snohomish County courtroom.
Court documents said Blackmer's mistress showed up at his house to tell his wife about their affair, so he threatened to "ruin her life." The documents allege that he created a Facebook page, posting salacious photos of her and the two of them together.
Sentencing is set for Jan. 8.
KING-TV reports that prosecutors want jail time and a no-contact order. Deputy Prosecutor Randy Yates said he'll also recommend that Blackmer be prohibited from possessing a gun.
Blackmer's lawyer said he thinks that proposed punishment is too harsh.
