You can sample a bit of opera at the Everett Public Library on Jan. 3.
The Seattle Opera’s Robert McClung will talk about the upcoming performance of Verdi’s “Rigoletto,” an energetic and revolutionary work about a court jester who seeks revenge on his lecherous master when the duke seduces the jester’s innocent daughter.
The presentation, at 2 p.m. in the library’s auditorium, is free.
“Rigoletto” opens Jan. 11 and runs through Jan. 25 at McCaw Hall at the Seattle Center.
