Associated Press
OLYMPIA -- Police in Olympia say a 5-month old girl who died in an apartment earlier this month had been sexually abused.
The Olympian reported that Thurston County Coroner Gary Warnock says the manner and cause of death are still undetermined.
Police spokeswoman Laura Wohl said Friday it's too early to tell whether the baby's sexual abuse contributed to her death.
Police have not arrested anyone in connection with the case.
Police and other emergency personnel responded to a 911 call at a downtown apartment building on Dec. 13. The caller said the infant was not breathing.
The caregiver reported the infant had been napping, and was unresponsive when she checked on her.
The coroner has said the baby died before the ambulance arrived at Providence St. Peter Hospital.
