Gratitude to those helping homeless students
So, come to the holiday season when everything must be merry and bright, and I start looking for "angels." Boy, I did I find them, or rather they found me! For the unprecedented number of gift cards received and then re-distributed to these students, I would like to give my humble and profound thanks to:
The Everett High School class of 1972.
The staff at the Community Resource Center.
The staff at Heatherwood Middle School.
The Soroptimists of Marysville.
The Boeing Angels Team.
The dozens of private citizens who answered my rallying cry!
Special thanks also go to the Christmas House and Pat Eylander who, for the third year, have waived the normal criteria for the rest of our homeless students' parents and guardians. Extra special thanks to the Stribling family and their friends who contributed 28 beautiful hand-knit scarves which now provide warmth and comfort to students at Hawthorne Elementary, Everett, Cascade and Sequoia high schools.
