On Dec. 7, the Marysville Strawberry Festival had the privilege of being invited to another great community event. The city of Marysville’s “Merrysville for the Holidays” parade.
Even though the weather was very cold, it was fun for all of us from Maryfest to be able to join the parade and once again have our float on display.
We want to thank the city of Marysville, Jim Ballew and all the many volunteers who worked so hard to get the parade organized, setting up the activities in Comford Park, plus the nice bonfire to warm up by. We would also like to thank the All City Band for providing such wonderful Christmas music and the City of Marysville for asking our longtime volunteer Carol Kapula to be the Grand Marshall and to flip the switch light to the water tower.
Being it was the 25th year for the Christmas Parade, it was wonderful to see all the entries and hope the parade will continue to grow each year. I want to especially thank our community for their support in coming out on such a cold night to watch the parade and enjoy all the activities. Without your support, these types of events would not happen.
Marysville Strawberry Festival wishes everyone a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
