MOUNTLAKE TERRACE -- A man was detained by Mountlake Terrace police on Sunday after a brief standoff.

A domestic-violence incident was reported to 911 about 12:45 p.m. at a home along 52nd Place W., a cul-de-sac off 216th Street SW.

Officers were told that a man at the home was waving a shotgun and had fired at least one shot, Mountlake Terrace police Cmdr. Doug Hansen said.

Within an hour, the man surrendered to police, Hansen said. No injuries were reported.
